Preview (partial song; no chords displayed)
Sorry if you hoped to get tabs, but I'm just giving chords,
and probably a few wrong ones at that. But if your band is
good enough to hack this song, you should be able to take what's
here and use it. I'll try and get the form of the song right,
but just listen to the CD for that.
Some notes: 1, Skillet is a very modal group, meaning they base
chords, and rely on their bass, lead guitar, and synth/sequencers
to provide the fills. So if you see, for instance, in this
CD to see what else the band is doing. 2, the guitars are in
drop D, so a d chord will mean one with the low D (formerly E)
string played, and a D chord will mean a chord with that string
muted. 3, the chords are all power chords.
C
Shrouded in proof, you're the mystery
You're the truth that lives within the world we see
You're the hand that holds destiny
PRECHORUS 1:
A G
And I can't pretend I don't know
A G
And I can't leave it alone, yeah yeah
D F D G D F D G F
You're the best kept secret in my generation, the best kept secret of all time
D F D G d F G d Bb
You're the best kept secret in my generation, And I found you out.
POSTCHORUS: C Bb C F G (actually, I think the CD just goes between
F and G, but I like this progression better).
