Note: This is a somewhat simplified way to play this song. The chords I'm showing at the bottom
are not the fingering of the chords on the album but are very nice if you are a reasonable guitar
player. If you want to play a fingering pattern more like the album see Josh Barton's tab on this
site. I'm playing this on a 12 string which gives it a fuller sound but it sounds nice on 6
string as well. The chords are designed to allow for a minimal finger movement so have a look at
my variations of the chords at the bottom. Don't be intimidated by the names of the chords they
are pretty easy to play. A wonderful song with deep meaning. Enjoy!
There’s a song that’s inside of my soul
It’s the one that I’ve tried to write over and over again.
I’m awake in the in - - finite cold
But you sing to me over and over and over again
So I lay my head back down, And I lift my hands and pray
To be only Yours I pray, To be only Yours
I know now You’re my only hope
