Am7 A*
Questions flew and words were hurled into the air
F* G
And when the smoke had cleared, I saw you lying there
Am7
I used my words like bullets in a gun
A* F* G
To pick your ego off like skeet flung in the gallery of fools
Refrain:
F* G
Too many words come from my mouth I wish would remain unsaid
F* G
Oh I've had to eat them all and now again I must confess

C Am7
It was a silly thing to say to you
C Am7 F* G
It was a silly thing to say to you I know
C Am7
It was a silly thing to say to you
C Am7 F* G
It was a silly thing to say to you I know
