In L.A.
Rick Altizer
Blue Plate Special
tabbed by Karlyn-Ruth Johnson
D A G
Nobody looks at you in LA
D G#m D
I think it's because they're afraid
Bm
That you might be crazy
G A
Or come and take them away
D F#
Away from the simple life
Bm A A7
Away from the guns and knives
G D Bm G A
Away to a place that's cold and gray
D A G
Nobody smiles at you in LA
D G#m D
Or says 'Hey, have a nice day'
D Bm
Must be cuz they're thinking
G A
And slowly drifting away
D F#
Away from the movie stars
Bm A A7
Away from the car alarms
G D Bm G A
Away from the people who give them their way (?)

D A G
Nobody talks to you in LA
D G#m D
They don't seem to have much to say
D Bm
They'll ask you for money
G A
But that's all that's given away
D F#
Some day I'm gonna find someone
Bm A A7
Some day I'm gonna fall in love
G D Bm G A
Some day if only someone will just look my way
G F# G#m D
But nobody looks at you in LA
G#m D
