Invitation To Eavesdrop

Preview (partial song; no chords displayed)

C G Am F
So proud to call you friend
C G Am F
So let down your starting up again
C G Am F
The same old story a thousand times told
C G Am F
With you, the hapless damsel in distress
Am F C
Am I richer than your King
Am F G
Will my two cents get you anything
C G
I’ll give you prayers and my time
F C
And every moment on mine
F C G
And all I have is yours to spend
G C F
But if your hoping all your tears will dry
G Am
With words that I dispense, well
C F G
There’s just some things that can’t be bought
G C
With my two cents
C G Am F
Still I’m so glad you call me friend
C G Am F
Just wondering when your pity parties end
C G Am F
When will you stop this bringing Invitations
C G Am F
Wearing, your same black party dress
Am F C
Am I richer than your King?
Am F G
Will my two cents get you anything
Am G F
How can I have all your answers
Am F G
When I’ve got questions of my own
