Kenny Marks
G D G
Back in 1932
Grandpa said a prayer
D
And he vowed to always follow You
C D
And in his new and fragile world
G D
His faith stood strong and true
G D G
Back in 1932
Back in 1944
Daddy was in the Netherlands
And the whole world was at war
As a cold and lonely soldier
He called out to the lord
Back in 1944
C G
Down through the years
D G
Love has been faithfull from the start
C G D
Since 1932
Back in 1963
I was still in grade school
When we lost John Kennedy
But in that dark and tragic hour
God shined His light on me
Back in 1963
Down through the years
Love has been faithfull from the start
Since 1932
Down through the years
The truth has passed from heart to heart
Now I'm tellin' it to you
Tellin' it to you yeah
Back in 1989
I was tryin hard to make it through
An awfully tryin' time
But walkin' through the valley
Was all part of God's design
Back in 1989
Down through the years
Love has been faithfull from the start
Since 1932
Down through the years
The truth has passed from heart to heart
Now I'm tellin' it to you
Now it's 1992
