A-xx7655 C#m-xx6654 Bm-xx4432 Cm-xxx120
A C#m
I walked downtown, past the park
Bm Cm
I see the flowers in the dark
A C#m
there I danced with you last night
Bm Cm
you held me close in the moonlight
A C#m
You promised if I love you so
Bm Cm
you'd promise not to ever go
A C#m
and here I am a day away
Bm Cm
loving you in every way.
Bm C#m x2
then Cm
Downtown I try not to stare
but in my mind I'll see you there
I stop to wait by an old street light
for you to come and hold me tight
I stop to eat at an old cafe
the moon's glow drives my heart away
I stay there 'til half past two
in my heart I know its true
I long to see you, I miss you so
you're voice lingers, in my soul
and when at last, you're vioce I hear
I thank God, That you are near
